Laura's First Rafting Trip

We headed out of North Fork, ID, intending to float the Salmon River. But spring rains had raised the waters to flood stage.

So, we drove till we got cell phone service again and found a last minute cancellation on the Smith River in Montana. The rains worked in our favor in getting the permit as it spoiled the fishing :)

We spent the night in Broke Back country, in a town called White Sulphur Springs. It lives up to its name.

Priest Lake on my Own

It was a bit difficult but in retrospect very worth it. Getting off the grid alone is very empowering. I even got some work done! Hello, pre-historic Sweden. Didn't take that many photos because I didn't have my phone with me on Friday (!), and it was cloudy/rainy Saturday. Then it cleared up and was magical.
